Manufacturing Warehouse Software for Factories: Avadar Industry
Avadar Industry is the production edition of P-Soft’s warehouse software: it brings raw materials, material consumption in production projects, scrap, batches and expiry dates, and product recalls together in one system. If your factory both manufactures and buys and sells, this edition is designed for exactly that mix.
Avadar is built on one shared core and comes in three specialised editions. The Industry edition adds a production, quality and traceability layer to that core. For transport companies there is Avadar Cargo, and for trading and distribution there is Avadar Trade. All three editions are introduced on the Avadar inventory management software page.
Is Avadar Industry right for your factory warehouse?
If at least two of the points below describe you, this edition is worth a close look:
- You issue raw materials from the warehouse for each order or production project, and you have returns and scrap.
- Your items have batch numbers and expiry dates, and getting near-expiry stock out on time is critical.
- Your quality control team sometimes holds goods aside until they are approved.
- You deliver serialised products with a warranty.
- You work with billets, sheets or metal sections measured by length and weight.
- You don’t know how much dead stock, shortages or extra handling are really costing you.
Production inventory software: from raw materials to project scrap
The perennial question in a production warehouse is: of the material issued for production, how much was consumed, how much came back and how much became scrap? Avadar Industry records that path step by step:
- Product structure and production formula: the components of each product are defined once.
- Dedicated material reservation: the materials each project needs are reserved in that project’s name so they aren’t used for something else.
- Issuing to the project: raw materials sent to a production project are documented.
- Consumption and returns: the quantity consumed and the quantity returned to the warehouse are recorded separately.
- Scrap kept apart: scrap isn’t mixed with normal consumption and shows up separately in reports.
This keeps raw material stock closer to what actually happened on the shop floor, and discrepancies surface sooner.
Batch and expiry tracking with “first expired, first out” alerts
Under FEFO, the item with the nearest expiry date leaves the warehouse first, not necessarily the one that arrived first. Avadar Industry keeps batch and expiry data for items and, with “first expired, first out” alerts, helps make sure near-expiry stock isn’t left sitting on the shelf.
Alongside this tracking there is quality quarantine: goods that haven’t passed quality approval stay in quarantine and are released once approved. Finding a batch is as instant as searching by barcode, serial, item name, customer or supplier.
One-click product recall
When a defect is found in a batch, speed of response is everything. In Avadar Industry the whole batch is stopped with one click, the complete list of customers who received goods from it is ready immediately, and every action you take during the recall is recorded.
Serial warranties, customer club and items on loan
- Warranty: each item’s warranty is recorded with serial, type and duration. When goods are issued, the serial is picked from a list, and the warranty is shown as valid or expired.
- Customer club: a complete file for each customer, contact history and a named account owner. When connected to your business phone system, the customer’s details appear automatically on an incoming call and one-click calling is possible. Connected to your own SMS service, you can also text customers and supervisors.
- Assets and tools on loan: tools and assets in people’s hands are recorded and tracked.
- Product authenticity checks and periodic stocktaking to make sure goods and stock levels are correct.
Steel, iron and hidden costs in factory warehouse software
Specialised steel and iron mode
A steel stockyard can’t be run on unit counts. In Avadar Industry’s steel and iron mode:
- A partial cut is taken from a billet or sheet under one barcode, and the remainder stays traceable.
- Length and weight are entered instead of a count.
- Pricing works per metre, per kilogram or per piece.
The details are covered on our steel warehouse software page.
Hidden warehouse costs analysed in 8 categories
Many warehouse costs never show up on an invoice. Avadar Industry analyses them in 8 categories and gives a practical recommendation for each: dead stock, quarantined goods, expired goods, near-expiry goods, shortages, surplus, occupied space and extra handling.
Avadar’s shared core: barcodes, mobile phones and working through outages
Everything above rests on a core that is identical in all three editions: receipt, issue and transfer by scanning barcodes and QR codes (phone camera or scanner) or by manual entry; multiple warehouses and zones with transfers between them; fast stocktaking by scanning; label printing from ready-made templates; recipient signature on the delivery note; dashboard, stock cards and Persian-language Excel export; and real-time notifications on the phone. Data stays viewable even when the internet is down. A factory can run Avadar on P-Soft hosting or on its own server, even without internet. For a broader comparison of approaches, see our warehouse inventory software guide.
Which Avadar Industry plan unlocks which features?
Avadar has three plans, and each plan includes everything in the one below it. The key point for factories: production, batch and expiry features are enabled from the Pro plan.
| Feature | Start | Pro | Elite |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warehouses / branches | 1 | Up to 5 | Unlimited |
| Users | Up to 5 | Up to 20 | Unlimited |
| Shared core (barcode and QR, labels, mobile, Excel, recipient signature) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Analytical reports (expiry risk, slow movers, shortage trends) | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Auditor role and fine-grained access per user | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| Production and projects, batches and expiry, warranty | — | ✓ | ✓ |
| One-click recall, full customer club, hidden costs, steel and iron mode | — | — | ✓ |
| Support | Official P-Soft channel | + phone support and setup training | + priority support, account manager and migration of existing data |
A rule of thumb: if you only need barcodes and accurate stock for one warehouse, Start is enough. If production, batches or warranty matter to you, begin with Pro. If you need fast recalls, steel mode or hidden cost analysis, go for Elite. Numeric limits and support services for each plan are finalised with the P-Soft team at purchase.
Avadar Industry in short: inventory software for manufacturers
Avadar Industry is the manufacturing edition of P-Soft’s Avadar warehouse system, for factories that produce goods and also buy and sell them. It ties raw-material stock to production projects, keeps batches and expiry dates under FEFO alerts, holds goods in quality quarantine until released, and tracks serial warranties. A factory can run it on its own server, even offline, or on P-Soft hosting.
| Topic | Avadar Industry |
|---|---|
| Built for | Factories and production warehouses that manufacture, purchase and sell |
| Production layer | Bills of materials, per-project reservation, issue, return, consumption and separate scrap (from Pro) |
| Traceability | Batch and expiry with FEFO alerts and warranty from Pro; quality quarantine and release; one-click recall on Elite |
| Elite-only extras | Full customer club, hidden-cost analysis, iron and steel mode, one-click recall |
| Deployment | Own server, even without internet, or P-Soft hosting; browser, Android app, home-screen install |
| Existing data | Migration from Excel or older software, scope per plan and contract |
| Support | P-Soft’s official channel for everyone; phone help plus setup training from Pro; Elite brings priority service and a named account manager |
Who uses manufacturing warehouse software? Typical scenarios (hypothetical)
- A food or chemicals plant: incoming raw materials go into quality quarantine, are released after testing, and FEFO alerts tell the storekeeper which lot to issue to the line first.
- An appliance or electronics assembler: each finished unit leaves with a serial picked from a list, and when it returns for service the warranty shows as valid or expired.
- A make-to-order workshop: materials are reserved against each order so a rush job elsewhere cannot use them, and offcuts are logged as scrap instead of disappearing into consumption.
- A metal fabricator or steel stockholder: on Elite, part of a bar or sheet is cut under the same barcode and quantities are entered as length and weight.
Avadar Industry vs spreadsheets and basic stock apps
| Shop-floor question | Spreadsheet or basic stock app | Avadar Industry |
|---|---|---|
| What happened to material sent to production? | One outbound line, the rest is guesswork | Issue, return, consumption and scrap recorded per project |
| Is this material promised to an order? | A note or a colleague’s memory | Reserved in the project’s name |
| Which lot should go first? | Manual sorting by date | FEFO alerts on batch and expiry data |
| Can these goods be used yet? | A sticker on the pallet | Quarantine status until quality release |
| Who received a defective batch? | Searching through invoices | Batch stopped and buyer list ready in one click (Elite) |
| What does idle stock cost? | Rarely measured | Hidden costs in 8 categories with suggestions (Elite) |
How to choose inventory software for a manufacturing company
- Follow material into production and back. Ask a vendor to show issue, return and scrap against a single order, not just stock in and out.
- Check lot control on real data. Batch, expiry and quarantine should be searchable as quickly as a barcode.
- Rehearse a recall. Time how long it takes to stop a lot and list everyone who received it.
- Match units to materials. Metals measured by length and weight need more than piece counts.
- Decide where data lives. Plants with strict IT rules may prefer their own server.
- Plan the move. Clarify how existing item lists and balances will be migrated and what training is included.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Avadar Industry, Cargo and Trade?
Industry is for factories that manufacture as well as buy and sell. Cargo is for transport and logistics companies and has no finance or production module. Trade has everything in Industry except the production line, plus approval workflows and commercial documents.
How do FEFO alerts help in Avadar Industry?
By keeping batch and expiry data, Avadar raises “first expired, first out” alerts so near-expiry goods leave the warehouse first.
Which plan includes product recall?
One-click batch recall is on the Elite plan; batch and expiry tracking is available from the Pro plan.
Can Avadar Industry be installed on the factory’s own server?
Yes. You can install it on your company’s server, even without internet, or use it online on P-Soft hosting.
Can I try Avadar Industry before buying?
Yes, a trial demo is available before purchase, arranged with the P-Soft team.
To see production, batches and recalls on sample data, request an Avadar Industry demo.
Is Avadar Industry an MRP or a full ERP system?
No. Avadar Industry is warehouse and inventory software with a production layer: bills of materials, per-project reservation, issue, return, consumption, scrap, batches and quality quarantine. Finance is not part of this edition, and capacity planning or machine scheduling are not listed features. It is designed to run beside your accounting software, so the store and the shop floor work from one accurate stock record.
Can we move our current item list and stock balances from Excel?
Yes. P-Soft migrates earlier data from spreadsheets or previous software into its products; what is moved and how is agreed per plan and contract, and the Elite plan already counts it as a support service. Before migration, it is worth cleaning duplicate item names and deciding which items need batch or serial tracking, because those choices shape how the records are set up.
What training and support does a factory get with each plan?
Every plan has access to P-Soft’s official support channel. From Pro, phone support and setup training are added, which helps when storekeepers and production staff start using scanning and batch entry. On Elite you also get priority handling, a named account manager and help moving your earlier records. The exact support services for your plan are confirmed with the P-Soft team at purchase.
